Doris Jones was Gallery East's original veteran founder.
Gallery

lovely watercolors and other media pieces of Doris' that had never been shown.

Doris, at the creative age of 90 (almost 91) was still faithful to attend
most of the Gallery's receptions and functions. She loved welcoming
visitors to the receptions and acted as our greeter. She had recently returned from
an art excursion and tour of Europe, and, even danced
at a relative's wedding the weekend of her death. Spirited, creative,
and full of wisdom, she will truly be missed by all of the Gallery members. |
|
|

Doris' grand daughter, and family representative Katrina Roccos,
came from New York to attend the June
Reception and
meet the Gallery members. Everyone enjoyed meeting her, sharing stories and
signing
the memory book that Christina took to Doris' family in New
York.
In her memory, photos of Doris and many pieces of her
fine art will
remain on display in
the Gallery. Most will be available for purchase.
