Carole
Drost prefers to paint on location and from still life. Depending
on the subject, Carole works in pastel, watercolor, oil, and
acrylic.
Her subjects range from portrait commissions to still lifes, wildlife
seascapes, landscapes, and old houses.
Carole recently retired after teaching for 41
years in the high school and middle schools of Louisiana and Florida.
She now resides in the On Top Of The World community in Ocala.
She is a member of OAG, Citrus
Watercolor Society, and The Art League Of Citrus County as well as being
active in the art activities for On Top Of The World.
Carole credits her art knowledge to
teachers such as Betty Schlemn, Albert Handel, Tony Van Haslett, Bud
Biggs, and Bobbie Houston, as well as many other workshop teachers.
