The Gallery East "Fabulous Fakes & Forgeries" Show and Silent Auction was held the month of March, 2006. In an attempt at serious humor or otherwise painstaking exactness... our members rose to the challenge of reproducing the popular and recognizable fine art pieces of the Great Masters. Ridiculously low, starting bid prices propelled the sale of these fine art works. To make sure bidders could keep track of bids, they were encouraged to return to continue bidding on their interests. High bid winners were determined from bids placed before the close of business on Friday, March 31, 2006 and all winners were contacted the first week in April. Never before could one so easily afford to own a painting by Van Gogh, Renoir, Michelangelo, or many of the other great master artists! We enjoyed a great turn out for the fun and many patrons were thrilled to add one or more of these exceptional pieces to their fine art collections! |
