Karen McGinnis graduated with a degree in art education from Emporia State University in Kansas. After raising her children and teaching public school for eleven years she is now spending time pursing a life involved in the arts. Teaching art for small groups of children and adults allows her to share her love of art with others. |

Participating in various art festivals around Florida and entering local competitions in order to show and sell her work is a rewarding and fun part of her life. Karen is active in the Ocala Art Group and Gallery East. Her paintings are displayed in homes and offices throughout Florida and the eastern part of the United States. Karens objective in painting is to delight the viewer with a positive emotional response. Painting the harmonious beauty of a still life, the magnificence of natures splendor, or glimpses of charming scenes are some of the subject matter used to accomplish this objective.
