Reception...
Friday, February 10, 2006
The Gallery
celebrated Valentine's
Day by welcoming Guest Artist,
Sharon Crute's equine
art, loved and admired nationally by horse and racing enthusiasts. Featured member artist,
Modrea Seiler exhibited her acrylic horse and riders, as well as gallery member
Barbara Batchelder with her mares and foals. Though subject
matter was similar, all three artist's styles are unique and varied, making for an
interesting exhibition and a packed house.

About the Gallery's Guest Artist
Sharon Crute
"Because of my extensive involvement in
all aspects of racing, I feel that my artwork is 'from the trenches.' I
strive to 'express the subtle with an undercurrent of volatility' which
can only result from an intimate knowledge
of the emotional anguish and exhilaration shared by all those who love
horse racing."
Sharon's artwork is exhibited in numerous galleries,
arts councils and racing centers on both coasts, including Del Mar and
Saratoga. Her paintings are in the collections of many private and
public patrons. She created the prototype for the "Horse
Fever" community
art project in Ocala, Florida. She just
recently completed another fiberglass horse, "Above and
Beyond" for the Race Track Chaplaincy
of America.
Sharon is represented by The Paddock Room Galleries in Ocala, Florida;
Soave
Faire in Saratoga Springs, New York and
The Sporting Scene Gallery
in Redbank,
New Jersey. Website:
